CEDAR FALLS RACEWAY EXPERIENCED NICE GROWTH IN 2010

Cedar Falls Raceway has now been under the new management and direction for four seasons and the fruits of the labor are beginning to show."I knew from past experience that it would take some time to get things going in the right direction" said Scott Gardner. "However, I didn't figure on the major flooding we experienced in 2008 as one factor" he continued.

In reviewing 2010 there appears to be several positive points:

• The Bracket Program continues to grow with the current format and saw nice increases in attendance.
• The Test-n-Tune events are gaining more interest and support as people realize racing is open for everyone.
• The NHRA National Open continues to grow and become an event of interest to more racers and fans.
• The Night of Fire is quickly becoming a favorite event throughout the region.
• The racing surface is now very good with the repairs made and continuous maintenance and spraying.
• The Midnight Mania events have become a great way to get the youth interested in racing and CFR!
• The Terry Stumpf Memorial Spectacular has become a "must race at" event that Terry would be proud of.
• The 10.5" Cars are wild and crowd pleasing and a good new venue for CFR.
  Although still small, the High School class is beginning to show signs of life and potential growth in the future.
• In 2010 CFR had a full bracket finals team in competition at Topeka!

These are just a few points that keep us optimistic for the future of CFR and drag racing itself. While we still have many opportunities to improve we can envision a bright future as we work to expand our markets, increase our attendance and produce better events. We appreciate the support of the racers, fans and sponsors who have made this possible.
