THE SPIN STOPS HERE ..............

Now that the preliminary 2009 schedule has been released, we have received some calls concerning the changes to the schedule. Some positive and some negative. There is really no spin to be made here as we are doing what is needed to keep CFR open. We don't think some racers understand actually how many bracket events there will be at CFR in 2009.

We do wish we could have a bracket race every weekend and specials on the holidays, but the cold hard facts is that there is just not enough support (now) for that to happen. Additionally, work continues on a Quick 16 Series for 2009. We do need some sponsor help to make this a decent racer program. So, if you are in the position to get involved or know someone that is, let us know. We will also have higher pay-out bracket races on Night of Fire and the Terry Stumpf Race. It should also be noted that we are working on another big money race, should the sponsorship come through we will set a date.

April 18 & 19 -- Non-Points Bracket Race (payout to be announced soon) + Jr Pts #1 & 2
April 25 & 26 -- Points Races + Jr Pts #3 & 4
May 30 & 31 -- Points Races + Jr Pts #5 & 6
June 20 & 21 - Points Races / No Jrs (JuniorFest of Drag Racing @ Cordova)
July  25 -- Night of Fire (payout to be announced- non points) + Jr Points #7
Aug 1 & 2 -- NHRA National Open, Brackets Each Day + Jr Points #8 & 9
Aug 15 & 16 -- Points Races + Jr Pts #10 & 11
Sept 12 & 13 -- Points Races + Jr Pts #12 & 13
Oct 10 & 11 -- Terry Stumpf Memorial Race / No Jrs (Jr Halloween Nats @ Eddyville)

10 Bracket Points Races with 17 Bracket events total.
