NEW BRACKET PROGRAM TO ROLL OUT AT CFR FOR 2008
As for many businesses, changes are sometimes a necessity and that is the case for the Cedar Falls Raceway Bracket Program. "Responding to our customer desires is something we strive for" said General Manager Dan Driscoll. "We have developed a program that we believe will benefit more racers, especially those who have to travel a distance to get to the track" he continued.
The bracket points program will be made of several 2-day races. There will continue to be four classes of competition plus Junior Dragsters. However, the final round of Super Pro and Pro will be the advancers from each class (Super Pro and Pro) for the Winner and Runner-Up money. Points will be calculated individually for Super Pro and Pro. Ten points will be awarded for entry and 10 points per round won. Each of the run-off finalists will receive an additional five points for participating in that round, but no additional points for winning. Bikes and Sleds will be allowed to race in Super Pro or Pro as long as they meet the rules of the class. A driver cannot enter both Super Pro and Pro with the same vehicle. However, one driver may enter both classes with two separate vehicles (one in Super Pro and one in Pro). The Sportsman and Trophy Street (now known as Pure Street) classes will stay essentially the same.
On weekends that there is not a 2-day bracket points program, the track will often have a Super Combo Bracket class, Pure Street and Jr Dragster (no points). At those events, the Super Bracket Combo will be Box and No-Box 6.50-13.99 ET. The Super Combo pay-out is also listed below.
