CEDAR FALLS SCHEDULE RELEASED

In the first time in most peoples memory, the Cedar Falls Raceway schedule of events is being posted in mid-January. "We wanted the racers to get a handle on what was happening sooner than later" said GM Dan Driscoll. "While some of the details have not been released yet, it will give racers a decent road map for the season" he concluded.

The Cedar Falls Raceway schedule includes six 2-day bracket points races. These events, structured with the travelers in mind, allows for racing and bonus run-off’s on both Saturday and Sunday and goes back to the typical class structure that bracket drag racing was built on. In addition, most other Saturdays will feature a box/no-box combo class, trophy and Jr Dragsters. Details on the number of Jr Dragster points racers as well as Q-16 information will be forthcoming.

“It’s vital that we build more local bracket participation” said Scott Gardner. “We appreciate those racers who travel to race at CFR, but we realize they can’t be at CFR every weekend.” “This schedule will hopefully be an incentive for local racers to get cars ready to race most every weekend with our Super Bracket Combo Class contested on most Saturdays.
