MIDWEST BRACKET ALLIANCE POINTS GET TIGHT IN FINAL STRETCH
The Midwest Bracket Alliance (MBA) Points Series is getting tight as some of the best Midwest drivers strive to win the championships in the Box and No-Box bracket categories. Leading the No-Box class for the first time in 2007, is Eric Bjorheim. His outstanding performance at the Co-Line/Goalsetter Shoot-out Spectacular at Eddyville Raceway Park has catapulted him to the lead. In the Box class, the points have really been scrambled as John Day who had a large lead in the series, suffered breakage over the Labor day weekend and lost some ground. The points in the box class are now very close with Day, Davis Jr, Shearer and Kruse in the championship hunt.
The final MBA Points race is scheduled for Sunday, September 30 at Cordova Dragway Park as a part of the OktoberFest of Drag Racing event. The Oktoberfest event will feature bracket racing both Saturday and Sunday, however MBA points will only be contested on Sunday.
