NITRO FUNNY CARS RETURN TO NIGHT OF FIRE AFTER YEARS OF ABSENCE

It's been many years since Nitro Funny Cars have appeared at Cedar Falls Raceway. However, Saturday, July 28 that will all change as two veterans of the sport come to CFR. IHRA World Champion and current points leader Dale Creasy Jr. will bring his Torco backed Monte Carlo to race Iowa's fastest drag racer, Jack Wyatt. Wyatt, who finished second in IHRA points in 2006, is trying to take the championship away from Creasy in 2007. "There a great team and run awfully well" said Wyatt. "We each won a round at the Eddyville event earlier this year, so this will be the determining factor on who has the upper hand at these Iowa tracks" continued Wyatt. "I know they will bring their A game to this deal so we will need to rise to the occasion" he concluded.

Both Creasy and Wyatt are capable of 300 mile per hour runs during the Night of Fire. "We wanted to step the Night of Fire event up" said Promoter Scott Gardner. "While the Nitro Funny Cars are very expense, they provide a thrill different from all others" mentioned Gardner. The Night of Fire is Saturday, July 28. Spectator gates open at 11:00am with sportsman racing throughout the day and the Night of Fire feature show at 6:00pm. Adult admission is $25 and includes a pit pass and parking on the spectator side. Kids (6-12) are $5 and under 6 are Free. CFR is striving to present a very high quality show at a reasonable price, we hope you will attend!
