FACILITY PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR NIGHT OF FIRE EVENT

Renovations and updates are underway at CFR in preparation for the Night of Fire event on Saturday, July 28th. Painting, cleaning, roofing, fencing and seating will all need to be completed prior to the race day. "We have 500 new seats on there way" said Dan Driscoll. "They will be placed on the spectator side of the track" he said. In addition to seating, CFR staff have been busy scraping and painting as well as getting the spectator side concession building ready for use. "It's been several years since there has been Nitro Funny Cars at CFR and we expect a large crowd to enjoy the action" said Promoter Scott Gardner. "We are pleased to have IHRA World Champion Dale Creasy Jr and Iowa's fastest Nitro Car of Jack Wyatt in a special match race, I believe the track record is in jeopardy" he concluded. 

In addition to the Nitro Funny Cars; Jets, Nitro Nostalgia Top Fuel, a Wheelstander, Super Shifters and more will be on hand. Admission for adults is $25 and includes a pit pass and parking on the spectator side of the race track. Kids (6-12) are only $5. Spectator gates open at 11 AM with sportsman racing all day and the feature show at 6PM. There will also be several food vendors on the grounds along with ice cold Miller Beer products (for those 21 years and older) for only $1. Plan on a fun filled evening on entertainment on Saturday, July 28 the entire family will enjoy.
